Situated in the peaceful solitude of an idyllic valley, in the heart of the desert, this cabin is the ideal place for travellers who seek tranquillity and intimacy. The Rustic Cabin has one main room, which opens out towards the valley, and is centered around a super king size bed. You will be able to enjoy at leisure sun rise with a view toward the Gamsberg Mountain. Simple and uncluttered, the bedroom with a spectacular view is an oasis of quietness and inspiration. Behind this main room is the open air bathroom, built around the rock in perfect harmony with the natural environment. This outside part of the cabin offers a panoramic view of the mountains during daytime… and of the starry heaven as soon as night has fallen.
It offers drinkable running water, hot water thanks to the “donkey” system used by Namibian farmers (water is heated by wood fire), gas burner as well as all the necessary cooking equipment in the small storeroom, and fire place outside. Electricity (220V) is generated by solar panels.

Farm Drive/Sundowner
The farm has a rich fauna and flora. At the main Building we have a resident Meerkat (des suricate), which just loves to photographed by our guests.
Birdwatching
Our two days at your lodge was one of the most memorable moments of our trips. The chalets (despite the cold water for our friends), the setting/views and the personal touch you and Nikkie give to this place were really outstanding.
Hikes & Trails
Our self-catering unit are nestled right next to the Mountain, which ensures complete privacy if so required. It cannot be seen from the main Building nor from any of the roads.
Hike to Ubib Grotto
This remarkable archaeological site is called Ubib Grotto. Go on a guided 2.5-hour excursion to the cave and be mesmerised by this special place.
